The makeshift rafts were no match for the forces of the elements and a good part of the legionaires were killed and drowned, others hurt and all exausthed. Vauleable equipment was lost and the remaining forces were barely able to make it back the their comerads that were staying at the city and the construction site. Seeing an oportunity the kings sister gathered her followers and spred the word that time has come to strike back and break the chains that the kingdom had put on them. The druids were persuaded to join her cause. Huntresses roamed the wilderness to scout the legion and runes were prepared. Meanwhile the orcs planned bloddy revenge. The newly choosen warlords called to the arms and theremaining orcs were joind by their brethren from the woods and smaler isles. This force was joined by some cyclopses and renegade minotaurs which where bribed with gold, metal and promises. The attack of the orcs struck the remaining red legion with vengefull force. Though hopelessly outnumbered and spread too thin over the titanic construction site the red legion fought a bloody fight. Wherever they could, they built pockets of resistance in a sea of green bodys that swarmed them. Doing so they left the way open to the workers though. The orcs took no prisoners. The desparate fought with everything they had but hammers and pickaxes were no match to orcisch spears and blades.

As jangadas improvisadas não eram páreas para as forças dos elementos e uma grande parte dos legionários foram mortos e afogados, outros feridos e todos exaustos. Equipamento valioso foi perdido e as forças restantes eram quase incapazes de voltar aos seus companheiros que estavam na cidade e no sítio de construção. Vendo uma oportunidade a irmã do rei reuniu suas seguidoras e espalhou a palavra de que havia chegado a hora de rebater e quebrar as correntes que o reino colocou neles. Os druidas foram persuadidos para se unir a causa. Caçadoras rondavam a floresta para escoltar a legião e runas foram preparadas. Enquanto isso os orcs preparavam sua vingança sangrenta. Os recém escolhidos senhores de guerra chamaram às armas e os orcs restantes foram reunidos por seus irmãos das florestas e ilhas menores. Essa força foi unida por alguns ciclopes e minotauros renegados que foram subornados com ouro, metal e promessas. O ataque dos orcs golpeou a legião vermelha restante com força vingativa. Apesar de excedidos em número sem esperança e muito espalhados pelo sítio titânico de construção a legião vermelha lutou uma batalha sangrenta. Onde podiam, eles construíam bolsos de resistência em um mar de corpos verdes que os cercavam. Fazendo isso eles deixaram o caminho aberto para os trabalhadores, no entanto. Os orcs não fizeram prisioneiros. Os desesperados lutaram com tudo o que tinham mas martelos e picaretas não foram páreos para as lanças e lâminas dos orcs.
